The meet

Our love story was written by the hand of God.
We were brought together in February 2015 through one of my cousins, and from that moment on, we’ve never been apart. Each meeting, each invitation, drew us closer. With time, we discovered so much in each other—patience, laughter, growth—and it became clear that this was the beginning of something truly special.

Though I was hesitant at first, God gave me the clarity to see the heart of this remarkable man—his intentions, sincere and pure. Little by little, I gave him my heart completely. And in July 2015, Ghislain took the next steps to formalize our relationship, guided by faith and love. 

Planning a surprise proposal for someone who doesn’t enjoy surprises is no easy task.

Although Cynthia and I had only known each other for four to five months, our connection was undeniable. She mentioned wanting to try a particular restaurant in the city's heart, so I used that as the perfect opportunity.

Once we arrived, with the ambiance just right and her favorite dishes on the way, I got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with me. She said a big, beautiful “Yessss!”—and in that moment, everything felt perfect.
